How does the free trial work?

You try Katie completely free for seven days. During that time Katie answers your phone, books appointments and sends you a summary after every call — just like a paid plan. When you sign up you set up a direct debit, but nothing is charged in the first seven days. Not a good fit? Cancel before the trial week ends and you pay nothing. How long does setting up take?

You're live right away. You tell Katie what she needs to know about your business in a short conversation — that is the setup — and then she's ready. Forward your calls or your voicemail to the number you get from us, and from that call on she's working for you. No waiting time, no scheduling, no engineer. You can fine-tune her any time while she's already answering.

How exactly does Katie work?

Katie is your digital receptionist. She answers like a real member of your team: warm, in your tone, in Dutch — and if the caller speaks one of the more than 30 other languages she knows, such as English, German, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Russian or Ukrainian, she switches to that language. She answers questions, books appointments, transfers calls to the right person and, if transferring isn't possible, records all the details and emails you a callback request. What does Katie sound like?

Warm and professional at the same time, with a natural Dutch voice. Not robotic, no awkward pauses. And if you have customers who don't speak Dutch, Katie switches to one of more than 30 other languages, from English, German and Polish to Turkish, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian. You choose which languages are switched on. The quickest answer is simply to hear her — she'll call you within ten seconds.

No, you pay per call. A short call about your opening hours is one call, just like a longer conversation about a job. Your plan includes a fixed number of calls per month, and above that you pay a fixed amount per call, however long it lasted. And you only pay for real calls: if someone hangs up straight away or says nothing (under ten seconds, or not a word from the caller), it doesn't count.

What if Katie doesn't know the answer to a question?

Then Katie takes the smartest route: transferring the call to you or a colleague, or politely letting the caller know you'll call back soon. You immediately get an email with the name, number, question and urgency (also via WhatsApp, as an add-on). You decide what happens next.

What does Katie do with salespeople and cold calls?

She politely turns them away. If someone calls to sell you an energy contract, marketing, a website or a lease car, Katie kindly tells them you're not interested. She doesn't transfer them and doesn't promise a callback. You can still see the call in your portal, marked as a salesperson, but it doesn't end up among your callback requests. Would you rather speak to salespeople yourself? Then turn it off with one switch.

Can I decide when Katie answers and when I answer first?

Yes. You choose: Katie answers every call (always forward), or your phone rings with you first and only if you don't answer or are on another call does the caller go through to Katie. You can switch at any time in your phone's call-forwarding settings.

Can Katie also handle the chat on my website?

Yes. For €20 a month the same Katie also answers the questions visitors type on your website; on top of that you pay per chat, from €1.00 on Starter down to €0.65 on Pro. She already knows your services, area and calendar, so you don't need to fill anything in again; she books appointments and passes on what she doesn't know. Turning it on takes one line of code on your website, there's no one else's logo in sight, and you can cancel it separately from your plan. The chat is included in your trial week at no cost. What happens to my phone number?

You get your own number from callnorah.com and simply keep using your existing business number with your customers. Calls reach Katie through call forwarding on your own phone (a few taps on your handset). No new SIM card, no hassle with your provider, and always reversible.

Where are my calls and customer data stored?

In the European Union, with our hosting and database provider. For the calls you are the controller and we are the processor; the data processing agreement is part of our terms. Where a supplier also works outside the EU, for example for speech technology, standard contractual clauses apply. And Katie says at the start of every call that she is a digital assistant.
